Katherine Heigl reveals that she grew up in a white bubble, and how that influenced the way she raised her adopted, multiracial children. She revealed in an interview recently that, in terms of the color of her skin the issue isn't that important. After speaking with her sister, who was adopted by South Korea she realized just the different ways society treats people of different races. "I inquired of Meg whether she felt treated differently when she went out with our parents and when she went out on her own. She said, 'Oh, yes, every time!' Heigl addressed Parents about how she realized her ignorance. According to the actress, she was angered. She wanted to channel this energy into aiding her adopted daughters. The couple, who are married to Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr., 4, have been married for 13 years. The couple adopted their daughters Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide, 8 and Black and was adopted in 2012.
